FMQ using marbled fabric

one of the bonus tutorials in the FMQ challenge sponsored by SewCalGal was to use marbled fabric to FMQ using the design of the fabric...i had been putting this off as i didn't think i could find any marbled fabric without ordering online...last week in a moment of brilliance...yes i sometimes have those although they are few and far between...i remembered i did have a fat quarter somewhere is that stash...i found it and set to work...i enjoy following the lines of the marbling and would encourage everyone to give it a go...
the end result...this is definitely an old piece of fabric i would never choose these colours now...

some of the detail...i just quilted free form paisleys around the borders....

although i do like the marbling and would use this kind of fabric for my lizards... don't like the dark green border

i adjusted the colours in photoshop...more my colours...brighter
